Making sounds in Year 3 (wc 04.03.13)

The children arrived on Tuesday with their musical instrument designs and were eager to turn them into a reality.  Making the most of the amazing weather we decided to take them all on the field to create their own instruments.  It was a very busy afternoon – rice, pasta, plastic cups, cardboard, string and plenty of tape was used and everyone produced a fantastic instrument for Vikings to use on their boats at night.

We continue to look at calculations in maths, this week focusing on multiplication, we are all getting very good at making numbers 10 times bigger and counting in 2s, 5s, 10s.

Please make sure children have outside PE kit in school on Tuesdays.  We are developing our ball skills and it can still be quite cold at times so tracksuit bottoms would be a good idea.

It has been great to see you all at Parent’s Evening and share with you the great progress your children have been making in Year 3 so far!
