This week in Year 5 w.b.25.3.13

This week the children have been focusing on the Easter story.  They have been thinking about how different people suffered in it as well as what suffering means.  They have also looked at symbolism within the Eucharist and have thought about images that symbolise their own lives.

During the Year 5 Open Afternoon both classes thoroughly enjoyed showing  parents and siblings their animations before leading workshops.  There were some very creative films made, including racing snails made from plasticine and Jedi Lego action.  Well done and thank you to all those who were able to attend, the children love to be able to show their work.  The skills they have been learning will be developed further next term when we hope to produce documentary style films.

We hope that everyone enjoys a relaxing Easter holiday and look forward to seeing you in the Summer term.
