Picture News

'Picture news' is something we usually share with the children in class assemblies. The idea is that by sharing a news story, an image or a thought provoking question, we learn more about the world around us! While we're learning from home, we will share weekly picture news here.

Watch Picture News virtual assemblies here!

Captain Tom Moore

We're sure you've all seen the amazing Captain Tom on the news! He's raised more than £28million for NHS Charities Together by walking 100 lengths of his garden at the sprightly age of 99 - and become an inspiration to many during this unusual time. You can read more about him on the Newsround website here.

Miss Westaway has bought a lovely limited edition print of Captain Tom by Basingstoke artist Laura Fisher Illusrations and wanted to share it with you all here.
