Intent, Implementation and Impact
Teaching Geography is an opportunity for us to inspire a curiosity and fascination about our world and its people for the rest of our pupils’ lives.
As geographers, the children develop a progressive set of skills that aid them in understanding human and physical geography. They develop the skills to question the world in which we live, enabling them to deepen their understanding of the interaction between human and physical processes, including the formation and use of landscapes and environments.
We promote learning through whole-school country study weeks, engaging lessons and local fieldwork. All contribute towards deep learning about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments.
