It’s a hive of activity at school today as the circus is being set up. Children are getting very excited about tonight’s performance.
Tickets are still available and can be bought from the information desk at the event. Stalls open from 4.30pm and the circus itself is 6pm-8pm.
If you are coming please walk or if this is not possible, park away from the school area and walk as parking is limited. Due to fire regulations buggy’s cannot go into the circus tent but can be left under the Infants school canopy.
See you there!!
Thank you to everyone who made our Sports Day so enjoyable. A fantastic atmosphere of competition, team work, sportsmanship, celebration and community. The weather was fab, too! See the photos below. If you have any pictures, please do email them to adminoffice@kingsfurlong-jun.hants.sch.uk . We are particularly looking for a video of our children singing.
We look forward to our Sports Day on Thursday, and so we take on the theme of team work this week. It’s going to be great- current forecast needs some work, but it will turn out fine. We’ll start the team games at 10am, running races around 11am, and then a family picnic lunch at 12pm- all timings approximate. Please do bring your own chair! Click here for more info.
Finally, we have a non-uniform day on Friday, in return for bringing in a small drink to sell at our Happy Circus on Weds 25th.
Have a great week!
We’re taking part in Walk To School Week, which is next week – 16-20th May! Please do make a special effort to walk to school, even if it means parking a distance from the school and walking the remaining amount.
Walking is good for you, gives time for conversations, and it eases local traffic congestion.
Each day a child walks, they will be given a sticker in their book, and a badge at the end of the week if the book is completed.
This week, our theme is creativity. In light of the Year 6 Sats each morning, it is a very appropriate time to be reminded that life and learning is much more than what pupils get tested on! The enjoyment and challenge that creative areas like dance, art, music, sport, and even science bring are a key part of life, and need to be celebrated.
We do wish our Year 6 pupils all the best this week. We are already very proud of them, and as always, just ask them to do their best.
Finally, don’t forget to read the newsletter given out last week. See the website for a copy if you missed it. It has lots of important information.
Have a great week
