We are pleased to inform you that King’s Furlong PTA have teamed up with the 'ecokids Textile Recycling Project' to raise funds for the King’s Furlong Schools.
This is a chance to have a clear out and raise money at the same time!
We will receive up to 50p per kg which will give a boost to our fundraising efforts. Bags have been sent home with more information in the letter as to what is and is not allowed. Please send in bags on 21st and 22nd November.
Thank you to everyone who attended our special remembrance service this afternoon. Hopefully you will have seen that the children have been immersed in their learning over the last two weeks.
Our poppy installation will remain in place for the next week - we would be grateful if you could help us keep the display intact by discouraging any younger siblings from touching/picking them up.
A special 'We Will Remember' edition of our newsletter is available to view here.
You are very welcome to join us for the outcome of our project.
The children's work will be on display, along with some poppy messages that they have created.
At 2.45, we will gather near our poppy installation, at the astroturf under the trees. There will be some children speaking, followed by a minute silence.
We are really looking forward to sharing our learning with you and we hope to see as many of you as possible.
Full details are provided in the below flyer.
