Intent, Implementation and Impact
At Kings Furlong Junior School class names are used as a starting point to introduce children to a range of artists and artistic movements. Children are given the skills to develop self-expression through the repetition of experimenting, inventing and creating their own works of art. The curriculum is designed to engage, inspire and challenge pupils to become confident artists or designers. Lessons promote critical thinking to enable children to explore and understand how art and design has shaped our history, and contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation. Children will leave KFJS with the confidence to follow and develop their own creative interests.
