  • Furniture going free!

    Due to classroom refurbishment we have various wooden tray units free of charge, these will be on display in the school hall on Tuesday 4th December, first come first served!

  • What’s on this week?

    It’s another busy and exciting week at Kings Furlong Juniors! Here’s a summary of what to expect:

    Monday: We’ll be thinking about St Andrews Day in assembly, and learning a wee bit about Scotland.

    Tuesday: Singing assembly in the morning. There is no Year 6 JCT team after school this week, back on next week.
    Wednesday: PCSO Steph Bradley is talking with Yr5 & 6 about Cyberbullying.

    Friday: We start with a Year 2 parents information session at 9:10. In the afternoon, we have our open session for Year 6 parents; it’s a great chance to work with their children in school.

  • Vehicle Saftey Awareness for children

    On a very wet Tuesday morning this week Keystone Distribution brought a McDonalds’ lorry into the school car park to show the children how hard it is for lorry drivers to see us when we are playing outside or walking by busy roads. Some of the children even got to sit in the cab! The company gave the school a jacket for each child for use on school visits and a reflective bag and a fruit shoot for them to keep.

  • Scholastic Half Price Book Fair

  • Year 2 Information Session!

    Year 2 parents are invited to visit our school on Friday 30th November 9.10am – 10am. This will be a chance to learn more about the school and meet the Head Teacher. We look forward to meeting you!

  • Children In Need

    Our school council have voted to support fundraising for Children in Need this year by dressing in either: something spotty, something yellow or wearing pyjamas this Friday 16th November. For this brilliant cause, we suggest making a donation of 50p. We hope you will want to support this worthy cause. Thank you.

  • Smiley Faces

    This week the KFJS peer supporters, the Smiley Faces, have resumed their duties during playtimes and lunchtimes. They have been trained by Childline to help children with a range of issues they may face on the playground as sometimes children find it easier to turn to another child rather than an adult. A big thank you to the team for giving up their time in order to help others – it is greatly appreciated!

     
  • Road Safety

    This week in assembly, we’ll be thinking about road safety. Mr Applegate will help us to identify risks on the road, and PC Bradley will speak to us on Wednesday about keeping safe in our community. You may like to use the attached file to discuss if the pictures show risks or not!

  • Tiger Arrives

    Our WWF adoption pack has arrived. Following our non school uniform day we were able to adopt 2 tigers (one from Marwell). Year 4 are now the proud to announce Kamrita the tiger as out newest pupil. It also means we are helping to support the WWF tiger conservation projects.
