Thank you to everyone for helping to make our Christmas Market such a fantastic event!
  • Christmas Market Proceedings!!

    Wed 18 Dec 2013
We hope you are as excited as we are about the Christmas market, which is tomorrow (Thursday) from 1:30pm. The children have been learning about a particular aspect of Christmas, and have been designing and making items to match that theme. And of course, they are selling them at the market!

All proceeds will be given to the Naomi House Children’s Hospice, which seeks to improve the lives of children who are particularly ill.

Your child may want to bring some money tomorrow to purchase items at the market. We are suggesting a maximum amount of £3, although items will cost from 10p upwards. If your child does bring money into school, please ensure it is in a labelled envelope, purse or wallet.

The opening ceremony to the market will start at 1:30pm. This will include a variety of Christmas performances by the pupils. Raffle tickets will be available all afternoon, including before the market opens. From 2pm, parents are invited to go the market, and visit all of the classrooms to see what has been made, and purchase any items they would like. The raffle will take place at approximately 2:50pm in the hall. Remember, there are £50, £25 and £10 Festival Place gift cards up for grabs! Tickets are 50p each. Pupils can then be collected at the usual time to go home.

Don’t forget our Christmas Raffle, where you can win either £50, £25, or £10 Festival Place gift vouchers. The raffle takes place on Thursday afternoon at the Christmas Market.

  • Pupil Progress Reports

    Fri 13 Dec 2013

Your child will be bringing home their "Pupil Progress Report" today. It's a summary of the levels which they attained in their recent assessments, and shows the progress they have made since last year. It also includes written targets in Reading, Writing and Maths, which you may like to support them with. Finally, the report gives their current reading age, reading comprehension age, and spelling age.

We do hope you find this information useful. Please feel free to come and discuss the progress report with your teacher, if you have any questions or comments.

  • C-h-r-i-s-t-m-a-s spells Christmas!

    Fri 13 Dec 2013

Today was the dress rehearsal, and if it is anything to go by, the actual Christmas show performances next week are going to be amazing! The children were superb in both their acting and singing. Well done to Mrs Chapman and Mrs Brace, who have made the show a success already. We are all very proud of them.

Remember, we do ask that if possible, families with young children bring them to the morning showing on Tuesday at 10:30am, as opposed to the evening performances. Tickets available at the office.

  • Christmas Show

    Tue 10 Dec 2013

  • Star of the year 2013

    Mon 09 Dec 2013

This week the teachers have reflected on the learning behaviours of the children and thought long and hard about who is showing a great attitude in at least one of the areas (look on the left hand side of our website to find them all). It was very difficult to choose as so many children continually try their hardest. However we are very proud of the following children who have been chosen as our ‘Star Students of 2013’.
