  • Reading Eggs

    Sun 24 Mar 2013

We are aware that some of you may have had trouble logging on to Reading Eggs today.  We are hoping to extend our trial and should have it up and running again soon.

We know that the children are enjoying using it in school but it would be great to have some more feedback from children and parents too, so if you would like to see Reading Eggs continue beyond our trial please contact either the school office or teachers to let us know!

  • Update for The Green Recycling Team

    Thu 21 Mar 2013

Twelve members of Year 3 met today with Recycling Rachel (Hampshire County Council) to develop their understanding of what can and can’t be recycled in Basingstoke. The children used their knowledge of the Famous Five to sort recyclable materials from a pile of rubbish. They enjoyed wearing hard hats and high visibility jackets to prepare them for their role in our very own Mini- Recycling Facility!

The Green Recycling Team have decided that they need to update our school community about improving recycling in school and at home. They will be conducting spot checks on classroom recycling bins to see if everyone is outing the right things into the right bins!

Watch this space for their first update!

  • This week in year 4 (w.b. 11th March)

    Wed 13 Mar 2013

Today Year 4 went to the British Museum in London. It was really exciting and we learned even more about the Egyptians. Our favourite facts were finding out that they mummified pets and crocodiles, and cats were really special to them. We also saw some death masks and Ginger (a skeleton who still had ginger hair). We would give this trip 20/20. This was written by Chris, Billy, Kamal and Lucy.
