  • Reading FC tickets!

    Ticket order forms for Reading FC v Derby County FC on Saturday 15th March are now available from the school office. All ticket sales raise money for school funds. If you would like to order the deadline is Friday 28th February. Once ordered, tickets will be sent to your home address or available to collect from the box office.

    Family Library is now held on the first Wednesday of the month 3.15 – 4pm. Kathy Gare, our Parent Support Advisor will be joining us. Come along for a coffee and enjoy our library books with your child.

    These week our theme is care, which is one of our core values.
    Monday – Ms Dunn shares with us on the importance of caring for one another. Year 6 also visit the Natural History Museum in London!
    Tuesday – Singing Assembly. Year 6 workshops after school
    Wednesday – Gary Bastin shares with us in our visitor assembly!
    Friday – Mad Hair Day! And the last day of this half term.
  • Read For My School

    This term our school will be taking part in a national reading competiton called Read For My School. Your child will be be bringing home a letter with all the information needed. Any encouragement that you can give to your child that supports them as they try to read a little more this term would be invaluable, whatever form it may take. If they do participate in Read for My School fully then your child will reap benefits for themselves, for our school and for children in Tanzania.
  • Y3 and Y4 Mental Maths Parent Workshop

    It was great to see so many parents this morning at our Year 3 and 4 parent workshop. They enjoyed being tested in their maths when they joined in with their children in a ‘Big Maths’ session!

    Our focus is resilience! It is often said to be one of the hardest learning behaviours, but we'll continue to help our pupils in knowing how to develop it to support their learning.

     

    Monday: Mr Applegate shares about resilience in assembly.

    Tuesday: Parent workshop in the hall at 9am, all about Mental Maths in Year 3 and 4. Then see how it works in practice by joining your child from 9:30am.

     

    Wednesday: Year 6 parents are invited to come in to join in with their child's project, from 2:15pm. Also, Ruth Yorke shares with us in our visitor assembly.

    Friday: Celebration Assembly
