  • Keeping your child safe on the internet

    Wed 08 Jul 2015

Please see Latest News Documents for a helpful guide to keeping your child safe on the internet.

Key points for keeping your child safe on the internet:

    • Set boundaries in the online world just as you would in the real world.
    • Talk to your child about what they are up to online. Don’t leave them alone!
    • Keep up-to-date with your child’s development online. How are they communicating with others online?
    • Keep all equipment that connects to the internet in a family space.
    • Know what connects to the internet and how.
    • Use parental controls on devices that link to the internet, such as the TV, laptops, computers, games consoles and mobile phones.
    • Lock down sites so that the information is not public.
    • Obey age restrictions, particularly on social media sites.

  • Looking after our school grounds

    Mon 06 Jul 2015
    Dear parents and carers,
We are lucky to have wonderful grounds at our school. We want to continue to keep it looking good, and need your help, particularly after school has finished. I am asking for pupils at both the Infant and Junior schools to ensure that they respect our grounds and follow the rules that they normally would during the school day.

    Fri 03 Jul 2015
t Kings Furlong Junior School, we think it’s really important for you to have behaviours that help you to learn. Please do have a chat with your mum or dad about our school learning behaviours. Why do you think we chose them? Why did we chose the animals that represent them?

If you can memorise all 8 behaviours and their animals, and can tell them to me in the first week in September, you’ll get a special prize!  Happy learning, and have a wonderful summer!
