  • Bags2school – HSA Fundraiser!

    Children are bringing home a Bag2school bag today. The bags should be filled with good quality second hand textiles. This can include; sheets, blankets, curtains, shoes, handbags, belts & soft toys. Bags will be collected from both schools on Friday 9th November. The HSA will receive 50p for every kilo we collect. All clothing that is collected is then recycled rather than filling up land fill sites! Please see www.bag2school.com for more details. Thank you for your support

  • Y4 and Y6 visit the cinema

    Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves at The Odeon today when the children watched ‘Brave’. This free treat was a fantastic way for the classes to use their golden time.

     
  • Parents Evening

    These will take place on Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th November. A letter will be sent home with your child for you to book your appointment or click on the link to our ‘Letters’ page where you can download a letter. We look forward to seeing you there. 

  • Author Visit

    The children were captivated by our visiting author, Debi Evans.  She read sections of her story ‘The Secret Society of Dragon Protectors’ and answered lots of the children’s questions.  Signed books are on sale this week at £6 each or £25 for a set of 5.

  • Festival of Light

    Kings Furlong Juniors is one of 8 schools in Hampshire to be selected to perform at Winchester Cathedral’s ‘Festival of Light’! This is an amazing achievement, and we are proud of the children who will represent us on the 19th of October.

    Below are 2 songs they are practising for the performance, which will be in front of several hundred people. Good luck from us all!

  • Any old books?

    Our school Cook is raising money for the Hospice, if you have any old paperback books that you would like to get rid of, please send them into school. Thank you for your support.

     
  • Upper Chestnut Drive

    A huge ‘Thank you’ to those drivers who are mindful of the residents of Upper Chestnut Drive and the surrounding area. We, and they, appreciate it!

     

    Can we remind everyone that waiting in your car or parking it, when it is on double yellow lines or on zig-zag lines, is not permitted. It’s simply not fair to the local residents, and contributes to serious congestion around the area.

     
  • Harvest Festival

    Our Harvest Festival Celebration takes place on Thursday 18th October. Please send in your donations of food which will go to local elderly people. Packet food can be sent as soon as possible and perishable food from 17th October. Thank you very much.

  • School Photographer visit

    The school photographer will be in school Monday 15th October for indivdual/sibling photos. There is also an opportunity for family sessions after school but places need to be prebooked – please contact the school office.

     
  • Non School Uniform Day

    We are holding a Non School Uniform Day on 10th October, 50p donation towards the Year 4 project to adopt a tiger.
