    Tue 12 May 2015

As we approach the warmer seasons, please could you ensure that your child's jumper has his/her name on it with permanent pen or sewn on label. We are gathering quite a collection in our lost property, and with no names, it's tricky to find their owners! Thank you.

  • KFJS This Week

    Sun 10 May 2015

We wish our Year 6 pupils all the very best as they take their SATs this week. They have been working so hard towards them, and it's definitely their chance to shine!

We also hope to have a guest from IBM on Wednesday, speaking to us about the world of work. We really sense that the children have become more inspired about their futures, and how school supports them in creating opportunities even at this young age.

Other than that, it's a fairly normal week!

    Tue 05 May 2015

We pleased to say that the winning idea was from Class 5S, who put forward the idea of  creating a long jump pit at school. The children will now be working with Mrs Webber to get it installed as quickly as possible!

On Thursday, Year 3 visit Butser Hill.

On Friday, we finish the week with our regular celebration assembly.

I’m sure we’ll see Mrs O’Brien around our school- reading with pupils, helping on trips or at special events like Sports Day. In the meantime, we wish her a very happy retirement!

  • Houses of Parliament

    Wed 29 Apr 2015

68 pupils had the opportunity to go to the HoP today, after being successful in persuading us that they should go!

The day went extremely well, and the children were amazed to stand in the House of Commons and House of Lords. They learned about the fascinating history of how Parliament came to be, and the key points about democracy.

We weren't allowed to take pictures, but the children will be sharing about their experience with the rest of the school.

We look forward to the KFJS election on Friday!
