On Monday, we had a great visit from Maria Miller, our local MP. She spoke about what life was like for her at school, how she had to work very hard, and how a teacher once told her that she could achieve anything if she put her mind to it. She also spoke about what it is like to be an MP. The children asked very good questions, and after the whole school assembly, the school council asked some more questions. Maria also asked the pupils what they would like to see improved in Basingstoke. Maria finished off the visit with a tour of the school.
We're excited to have Maria Miller visit us on Monday morning, to share her thoughts on our ongoing theme of Aspirations!
